Mathew Charles

Over the past ten years Mathew has covered some of the world’s major news stories for the BBC, CNN and Euronews. In 2007, he was nominated for Young European Journalist of the Year. Mathew’s reports are used to teach creative packaging on BBC training courses and he also teaches television journalism at the University of London. He has interviewed heads of state, terrorists and 4 year old ballet dancers! He has dodged bullets in Guatemala and covered the the Eurovision song Contest. Twice. Mathew has also produced and directed two TV documentaries, Beyond the Pink Curtain and Staging a Revolution.

Rosie Seed

Rosie has worked in broadcast for ten years. She has covered a diverse range of events from the Ashes in Australia to the siege of Sarajevo and the machinations of the EU. She has produced comedy and music documentaries for BBC radio, as well as a sports panel show for ESPN. Rosie has edited live flagship political programmes and has produced various specials for the BBC. In 2004 Rosie was awarded Sony Gold for breaking news coverage of Saddam Hussein’s capture. Rosie is a former Young Radio Person of the Year. She has also fallen into the Serpentine in Hyde Park and didn’t even get the kit wet!

Juan Luis Passarelli

Juan is an experienced camera operator and picture editor from Guatemala. He has worked on several documentaries for the BBC and for Channel 4 in the UK. He is the Features TV technical guru!

Pauline Lockwood

Pauline Lockwood has worked for the BBC and Sky News. She read war studies at King’s College London and has an MA in TV journalism, which she puts to use well producing and filming for FTV! Pauline speaks French and Russian.
